A Cut About Blades wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy with your order, we offer a straightforward return policy that makes returns easy. Please read this return policy carefully to understand our process, timelines, and conditions.
We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to customer satisfaction. If an item doesn’t meet your expectations, you can return it within 30 days of purchase according to the terms outlined in this return policy.
RETURN WINDOW & TIMELINE
You have 30 days from the date of purchase to initiate a return. To be eligible for return under our return policy, items must meet specific conditions (see “Condition Requirements” below).
Returns initiated after 30 days will not be accepted. The 30-day window is calculated from the date your order was placed, not the date it was received.
CONDITION REQUIREMENTS
Items must meet the following conditions to be eligible for return under our return policy:

Unused: The knife must be completely unused and in the original condition as received. No cutting, testing, or handling that alters the blade condition.

Original Packaging Required: All items must be in their original, undamaged packaging. This includes the original sheath, any included accessories, and all packaging materials.

No Signs of Wear: The blade, handle, sheath, and all components must show no signs of use, damage, or wear.

All Documentation Included: Return all paperwork, product manuals, warranty cards, and any other items that came with the knife.
Items that do not meet these conditions will be refused or returned to you at your expense.
NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
The following items cannot be returned under our return policy:

Custom or Engraved Knives: Any knife with custom engraving, personalization, or modifications is non-returnable. These are made to order for your specific needs.

Clearance Items: Items marked as clearance or final sale are non-returnable.

Damaged or Altered Items: Any items that have been damaged, modified, or altered after purchase cannot be returned.
Please review product details carefully before purchasing to avoid ordering a non-returnable item.
HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN
To start a return under our return policy, follow these steps:

Obtain Return Authorization: We will respond with a Return Authorization (RA) number and return shipping address.

Pack Your Item: Carefully pack the knife in its original packaging with all accessories and documentation.

Ship Your Return: Ship the item to the address provided. You are responsible for return shipping costs and should use a trackable shipping method.

Wait for Processing: Once we receive your return, we will inspect the item within 5-7 business days to verify it meets our condition requirements.

Receive Your Refund: If approved, your refund (minus the restocking fee and credit card processing fee) will be issued to your original payment method within 7-10 business days after approval.
REFUND AMOUNT & RESTOCKING FEE
Approved returns will receive a refund calculated as follows:

Original Purchase Price: The amount you paid for the item

Less 12% Restocking Fee: A 12% restocking fee will be deducted to cover handling, inspection, and restocking costs

Less Credit Card Processing Fee: A credit card processing fee will be deducted to cover the cost of processing your refund

Refund Method: The refund will be issued to your original payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.)
Example: If you purchased a knife for $150, your refund would be calculated after deducting the 12% restocking fee ($18) and credit card processing fee, resulting in your final refund amount.
SHIPPING COSTS

Return Shipping: You are responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method (UPS, FedEx, USPS with tracking).

Prepaid Labels: We do not provide prepaid return shipping labels at this time.
Please factor in return shipping costs when deciding whether to return an item.
EXCHANGES
We offer product exchanges for items that do not meet your expectations or if you would like a different product instead of a refund.
To request an exchange:

Contact us within 30 days with your order number and the product you’d like to exchange it for

Ship the original item to us in its original packaging (you pay return shipping)

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will ship the replacement item to you at no additional charge (we cover exchange shipping)

The 12% restocking fee and credit card processing fee still apply to exchanges
Exchanges must be for items of equal or greater value. If exchanging for a lower-priced item, the price difference will be refunded (minus the restocking fee and credit card processing fee).
DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS
If you receive a defective or damaged item, contact us immediately with photos of the damage. Defective items may qualify for a replacement or full refund without a restocking fee.
Important: Defects covered under this policy are manufacturing defects only (e.g., broken blade, faulty sheath). Damage caused by shipping, handling, or use is not covered by this policy—these items fall under the manufacturer’s warranty instead.
For manufacturing defects, we will:

Determine if it qualifies for warranty coverage

Offer either a replacement or full refund (without the restocking fee)
MANUFACTURER WARRANTY
Many of our products are covered by manufacturer warranties that may offer longer protection or different coverage than our return policy.

Manufacturer Warranty vs. Our Return Policy: The manufacturer’s warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, while our return policy covers dissatisfaction with the product.

How to Claim: For warranty claims, contact the manufacturer directly.

Restocking Fee Does Not Apply: Manufacturer warranty claims do not include the 12% restocking fee if approved by the manufacturer.

REFUND STATUS & PROCESSING TIMES

Inspection Time: 5-7 business days after we receive your return

Total Timeline: Expect 2-3 weeks from the time you ship your return to when the refund appears in your account

Tracking Your Return: Use the tracking number from your return shipment to monitor its status
Once we receive your return, we will send you an email confirming receipt and the inspection status.
RETURN SHIPPING ADDRESS
We will provide the return address when we provide the Return Authorization (RA) number. Items received without an RA number may be refused.
ITEMS NOT COVERED BY THIS POLICY
This return policy does not apply to:
